Privacy Policy

This is the personal website of Alana Chelangat, a young climate advocate in Kenya. Because Alana is under 18, her parent manages the website and every message sent through it.

What we collect

Only what you choose to send: through the contact form, your name, email address, organisation, the type of request, the date and your message; or whatever you write if you email us.

How we use it

To read and reply to your request, and to arrange any event, interview or podcast you ask about. We never sell or rent your details, and we don’t use them for marketing.

Who sees it

Your message is delivered by email to Alana and to her parent, through a form delivery service. Every request is reviewed by Alana’s parent before anything is agreed.

How long we keep it

We keep messages only for as long as we need them to reply and to arrange what you asked about.

Children

If you are under 18, please ask a parent, guardian or teacher to contact us for you. We never publish the contact details of any child.

Cookies and other websites

This website doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies and stores nothing on your device. Some pages show players from Spotify and from video sites such as YouTube; those services may set their own cookies when a player loads or when you press play. Links to other websites, including Dunia Endelevu, follow those websites’ own policies.

Like any website host, ours processes basic technical information, such as your IP address, to deliver pages and keep the site secure.

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you. It tells us only how many people visit and which pages they read.

Your rights

Under Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019, you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email alanachelangat@gmail.com and we will reply.
